A new look and name for Geelong City Motors

Mercedes-Benz Geelong
Geelong will be one of the first cities in Australia to feature the latest Mercedes-Benz corporate identity when a major redevelopment is completed.
Work is about to begin on a spacious new showroom designed to cater for an ever expanding range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including the much anticipated X-Class ute.
That’s not all that’s happening, with the name of the business to change from Geelong City Motors to Mercedes-Benz Geelong. Dealer Principal, Tony Jennett is excited about the imminent changes, “It is all happening. New showroom, new models, new name and the same great service. Geelong City Motors has been around for a long time, 38 years. It was time for a fresh face that reflects on who we are and the brand we represent. Mercedes-Benz Geelong says it all”.
“This is a major investment that will take the dealership to the next level. We have confidence in the brand and Geelong. Both are going places and we needed to be geared for a bright future”, said Mr Jennett.
Andrew Cutter, Director of Dealer Development, Mercedes-Benz Australia recognises that Geelong is a key location and a major city in Australia, “We have an ideal position in Geelong and a long standing, multi-award winning retail partner. Subsequently it was an appropriate place to roll out the latest in dealership design and corporate livery (identity)”.
“The new showroom incorporates key elements of our brand. The latest style, desirability, latest technology and of course comfort and practicality”, said Mr Cutter.
The redevelopment of the showroom is expected to be completed within 12 months and it will be business as usual, with the dealership trading throughout this period.
The project will be overseen by a local architect and built by a local builder and will get underway in May.
